SYNTHECOLOGY debuted during the WIRED NEXTFEST2005 in Chicago, June 24-26, 2005. During the festival, over 30,000 people came to visit the physical installation and countless others connected to the virtual installation and contributed content to the project.

PHYSICAL INSTALLATION
The physical installation consists of a VR portal/C-Wall display combination. The virtual installation combines YG, HTTP and mySQL for the dynamic display graphics and audio (more info).
